Seminar overview:

Interactive discussion between Industry and Academia is essential to encourage how can BIM help us to improve data sharing more effectively.
How can we work together to unlock our ground data and share Quality Assurance data. More than approx. 50% of project delays are caused by not understanding ground conditions and not having Quality Assurance data from projects which could assist in building future projects more robustly. There is huge encouragement from Government to open data policy.
Data collection can be done with the intention to make it easier to find issues in asset management. Reusing existing data can greatly cut the time and financial costs of site investigations, and reduce uncertainty that can result in delays and overspend. It is therefore imperative to find ways to share data on different platforms as much as possible.
